We can’t serve God being normal. We must be different to serve God. Examples dealing with me, I remember being young and wishing I could look like this girl and that girl, how I want to dress like that girl and just didn’t want to be myself. I had low self esteem, I didn’t love myself, I just felt like what is wrong with me. Why this guy think I’m ugly, why I cant wear this or get that. Now that I look back on those girls and there lives, I say Thank you Jesus for saving me. We are different and we must be different. I was chosen, God Chose me way before I was a seed in my mothers womb, before I was a thought . How many of you have gone place that seems to be fun to everybody, but you were not having fun….how many of you have been outcast of your friends, how many of you just don’t feel like you belong. I’m here to tell you God chose you…God said many will be called but few will be chosen. You are everything they say you are to the world, you are everything they labeled you, only to the world….but to God you are His jewel, you are his precious treasure. I’m thankful those guys I like thought I was ugly or I didn’t have a banging body to them. Looking at them now, nothing going on for themselves…I thank God. I praise God…It was God that saved me from so much. I’m here to tell someone who feel’s this way, you are chosen…I pray that you be set free, I pray against low self esteem, insecurities….I pray that God delivers you. You are not a mistake, you are only chosen….If anything you should not want to be like the world, this person, that person. God created you the way he wanted you to be, without out all the glam and fakeness, dirt hidden secrets. Some people mask themselves behind so much and they are so broken and disfigured in the inside. You should praise God and jump for joy, to not be normal….cause being chosen is seeing the unseen. The ones that are chosen are nobodies to the world, but I’d rather be a nobody to the world and somebody to God.
Deuteronomy 7:6-8
The Message (MSG)
6 Do this because you are a people set apart as holy to God, your God. God, your God, chose you out of all the people on Earth for himself as a cherished, personal treasure.
7-10 God wasn't attracted to you and didn't choose you because you were big and important—the fact is, there was almost nothing to you. He did it out of sheer love, keeping the promise he made to your ancestors. God stepped in and mightily bought you back out of that world of slavery, freed you from the iron grip of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Know this: God, your God, is God indeed, a God you can depend upon. He keeps his covenant of loyal love with those who love him and observe his commandments for a thousand generations. But he also pays back those who hate him, pays them the wages of death; he isn't slow to pay them off—those who hate him, he pays right on time.
Isaiah 41:8-9
The Message (MSG)
8-10 "But you, Israel, are my servant. You're Jacob, my first choice, descendants of my good friend Abraham. I pulled you in from all over the world, called you in from every dark corner of the earth, Telling you, 'You're my servant, serving on my side. I've picked you. I haven't dropped you. 'Don't panic. I'm with you. There's no need to fear for I'm your God. I'll give you strength. I'll help you. I'll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you.
1 Peter 2:11-12
The Message (MSG)
11-12 Friends, this world is not your home, so don't make yourselves cozy in it. Don't indulge your ego at the expense of your soul. Live an exemplary life among the natives so that your actions will refute their prejudices. Then they'll be won over to God's side and be there to join in the celebration when he arrives.
2 Corinthians 4:4
The Message (MSG)
3-4 If our Message is obscure to anyone, it's not because we're holding back in any way. No, it's because these other people are looking or going the wrong way and refuse to give it serious attention. All they have eyes for is the fashionable god of darkness. They think he can give them what they want, and that they won't have to bother believing a Truth they can't see. They're stone-blind to the day spring brightness of the Message that shines with Christ, who gives us the best picture of God we'll ever get.
Amen-
